Terms & Conditions

By using You Get A Point ("the app"), you agree to these terms. This is a private app intended for use by invited friends only.

1. Eligibility & Access

Access to the app is by invitation only. You must have a valid account to use the app. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its infrastructure.
  • Submit content that is abusive, threatening, or harassing.
  • Abuse the point-giving system (e.g. self-awarding via shared accounts).

3. SMS Notification Service

You may optionally enroll in SMS text message notifications. By providing your phone number and enabling SMS notifications in your preferences, you expressly consent to receive text messages from You Get A Point via AWS SNS when another user awards you a point.

  • Message frequency: Varies. Typically a few messages per month depending on activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier's plan.
  • To opt out at any time: Reply STOP to any SMS, or remove your phone number from your preferences page. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages.
  • To get help: Reply HELP or contact vann@combiconsulting.com.
  • Supported carriers include all major US carriers. Carrier support is not guaranteed.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of using any other part of the app.

4. Content

You retain ownership of any text you submit (reasons for points, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a license to store and display it within the app. You may edit or delete your own points at any time.

5. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantee of uptime, data preservation, or uninterrupted service. This is a personal project and is not operated as a commercial service.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
